Seeing as it’s going to be a little while longer until the official store launch, I thought I’d give you all a small taste of just one of the items you’ll see/be able to purchase on the shop. I’ve photo’d this incredibly unique, handmade necklace by some talented young designers (who I’ll post all about later) with my Latourell poncho so you can get a sense of its scale. Plenty of additional accessories and clothing coming too, but you’ll have to wait until launch to see that!
Seeing as I’m a sucker for texture, I had a bit of a heart-stop moment when I happened to wander across isobel and cleo’s etsy shop. It was one of those fortuitous discoveries-although it’s quite easy to come across fantastic stuff on etsy if you have a few hours to spend browsing, which is why I stay away most times because I get sucked into that black hole so easily! (Ah, etsy ♥ forever)
Anyways, creator, Charlotte Hess, makes beautiful pieces bursting with texture and movement and gorgeous, subtle colour. Everything is handmade and made-to-order. Looking at Hess’s Press section on her site, it would appear that she’s captured a lot of people’s attention and rightfully so. It will be quite fun to see what she comes up with next
Extremely awkward models aside, San Francisco shop, Light Vision stocks some nice pieces from tiny labels where everything is handmade by the designers. The site is only a few months old so it’ll be exciting to watch it expand.
I recognized well-known label Mociun, and the conceptual Open Clothed, which is also stocked at previously featured favourite Portland shop, Stand Up Comedy. If you want to support independent designers and the shops that support them, Light Vision is a good place to start!
