Most definitely not your average tee (although the first and last are actually dresses). More @ Felicity Brown
Here’s my little confession, Tuesday night when I was supposed to be browsing my bookmarks so I could make a post on Wednesday, I instead spent my time obsessively shopping siphon/vacuum pot coffee makers. So no Wednesday post. HOWEVER, I was very good last night and did my blogging duty so I’m posting! (Some day I will make a post about siphon/vacuum pot coffee makers here ’cause I’m kinda obsessed, you know, like I just said.)
So, yes we’re just plunging into summer, the rainy season has about ended, and the hottest months are still ahead of us but that doesn’t mean that I ever stop the hunt for jackets and coats and the like. I was pretty enthused to find these beautifully colourful raincoats by Danish label, MaxJenny. Yes, I love neutrals, but I am really feeling the colours here. Not to worry though, you chromaphobes, they have a bunch jackets in voluminous black, too. Oh, and I should probably mention that all of their pieces are made from recycled PET bottles and dyed with waterbased colours. You can shop the collections on the site, and all prices are in euros
If you’re familiar with Salvor Projects you’re probably mostly thinking about their wallets and accessories, because that seems to be mostly what’s available from the brand in online boutiques. I was delighted to discover that Salvor offers much more than cool wallets and bags with unusual geometric prints. I’ve only posted a few items from various collections (click image below to enlarge) so be sure to click over to see more
Ostwald Helgason’s clothing caught my eye while I was browsing Catwalk Genius. It was the fascinating graphic patterns, soft colours, and classic shapes that I found appealing. I’ve been really wanting to mix some interesting pattern into my wardrobe recently so I’ve been on a bit of a hunt.
Designers, Susanne Ostwald and Ingvar Helgason, founded the label in 2006 and had the privilege of showing their collection at Berlin Fashion week in 2008. Otswald handles the print and colours for each collection while Helgason creates the silhouettes. The biography section of the site cites art, nature, technology, men’s tailoring, and textile design as their inspirations for their collections. This is a pair of very talented designers who we’ll all be hearing more about in the near future.
I’ve posted four photos from their S/S 09 and four from their A/W 08 collections. Be sure to check out the archives section of the site as the past collections are all fantastic as well.

I must be secretly longing for some hipstery prints lately because I feel like I’ve been featuring a lot of designers who double as graphic designers or artists. They all seem to like to produce clothing that’s obviously strongly tied to their art backgrounds./training.
Karolina Kling of Kling by Kling is no exception. Her illustrations are the center of her collections, and her bio on the site states that she prefers to be seen as a graphic and product designer rather than a fashion designer.
I do like that she doesn’t just plaster her illustrations on boring shapes like plain tee-shirts or tight pants. Every collection nicely merges creatively cut clothing with her predominantly black and white illustrations, which could be easily worked into an existing wardrobe.
I’ve posted a picture from her four collections. She does some menswear as well.
