Those of you who have been following Pour Porter since its livejournal days, may remember me posting a few years back about footwear company Rosa Mosa the brainchild, or maybe more appropriately, the brainy child of Simone Springer and Yuji Mizobuchi. They were doing the clog boot and shoe long before its recent popularity. What makes Springer and Mizobuchi’s footwear so singular is that they follow no trends, and all of their shoes are handmade in Austria with a strong focus on high quality craftmanship. So how is this for colour? My older sister gave me these totally ridiculous/fabulous vintage shoes a few years back for Xmas and I’ve never worn them. I love them but I am at a total loss on what to pair them with. I mean, look at them! They steal the show.

I rearranged my closet this weekend, moving my winter shoes to the back of the closet and my summer shoes to the front. Well, I resolved that this was the year I’d wear these shoes. I’m wearing them today, much to the shock and amusement of my coworkers. I’ve paired them with black denim, and a simple white tee with my alex+chloe acrylic necklaces. This definitely brings the attention to the shoes.
