ffiXXed’s SS 12 Customised Interdependencies collection is now up on the shop (six new pieces). One of the things I love so much about ffiXXed’s work is how each collection builds on the previous – you can mix up pieces from 2 seasons ago with the latest and everything integrates perfectly. Also, while ffiXXed’s collections are released according to the typical seasonal schedule, most of the pieces are wearable throughout the year. I still need to shoot several of the new items on Brannan since they’re unisex and it helps to see them on a male model, so stay tuned for that. Happy Monday!
This week we introduce a brand new label Ketzali, a Guatemalan based accessories company that uses 36 artisans to weave some truly beautiful scarves. Everything is done by hand including the dying, for which they use natural and low impact dyes. They’re perfect all-season scarves too since they’re woven from rayon viscose. This also makes them crazy soft. We have five different styles, although we sold out of the Wikiq style just this morning, so be sure to check them out.
Scarves are one of those pieces of clothing that I seem to accumulate at a ridiculous pace. I’m one of those people who is constantly cold so scarves are pretty essential. Given our cold weather of late I’ve had scarves on the brain. If you ever happen to check out our Featured page on the Shop, you may have noticed that it changes every week and for the past two weeks I’ve rotated a few of the scarves we have on it. Brannan has the Hemingway and wears it daily, and I can attest to the softness and warmth of the Upstate scarves (flannel!). Anyway, the point of all this blah, blah, blah is to say – check out our scarf selection guys!
In other shop news, while we’ve sold out of quite a few of everyone’s favourites (all Kora pieces are officially sold now), we still have A LOT of good things left. I’m not planning on putting any new arrivals up until after the holidays (anyone else having information overload?) but we had a much bigger influx of A/W inventory this season, so you may have missed some things. I will be adding back a few past season pieces that are on sale next week. Have a great week everyone!
Hooray #1 because I’m finally back home and I can drink the tap water again : D
Hooray #2 because we just did a MASSIVE shop update with new arrivals from Anntian, ffiXXed, and Upstate. PP basically has you covered for fall and winter with several new coats and jackets (ffiXXed and Anntian), ponchos (Upstate), and scarves (Upstate). Layer city ahoy, guys. Be sure to check all of the good out, and don’t forget we’ve still got quite a few items on sale in limited quantities. We’ll be marking down late summer/early fall things too in the coming weeks. Happy Monday!
Fi and Kain of ffiXXed were some of the first designers we contacted to carry at the shop. Since then other retailers have started to pick up their line and each collection brings a new refinement to their design philosophy. We’re huge fans of their work and I can honestly say they are not only really amazing, creative types but they’re fantastic people as well. It’s so much fun to hear what they’re up to, because it’s always something dynamic and motivating. (Sneak a glimpse of portions of their awesome living space below. Kain painted all of the floors white!). All images provided by ffiXXed.
They were kind enough to take time out of their busy schedules to participate in our Designer Interview series, and we’re happy to now be able to share it with all of you!
