The rest of the most recent collection from Acute Case, is sort of your typical arty, architectural stuff with a lot of black and angles. This look however, oh my! If I lived someplace where I could get away with a short sleeved coat in the summer, well ladies and gents I would be rocking this nonstop. Anyways, this is just perfect for early fall wear
A Détacher Fall 2010
As I’ve stated before I don’t generally post about Fashion Week because it’s covered ad nauseum everywhere else, but because I’ve been largely disappointed in what I’ve seen so far for fall in NY this year, I was pretty excited when I saw A Détacher‘s collection (♥ A Détacher-own a pair of booties that are some favourites) . It’s full of texture and warm neutral tones with some lapis blue thrown in. I’ve never been a huge fan of blue-I just don’t think about wearing it that much, but I have to say the jewel tone colour presented in this collection makes me want to wear it a ton more! What do you guys think-do you like blue?
I’m thinking I might make this a somewhat regular feature. I never been much into polyvore-ing outfits (it’s easier for me to PS the stuff myself), but it can definitely be fun creating wardrobe ‘mood boards’. The only negative is how time consuming it can be!
I’ve featured Magda Berliner on here many times before and she’s still one of my favourite independent designers. Her Fall 07 collection is featured below. It’s good to see that she’s still using lace for many of her pieces, even though it’s no longer the latest trend.
How excited was I to see character shoes on her and the model’s feet? I’ve had character shoes on my what-to-wear list since last year-really! Ah, synchronicity.
A favourite designer of mine that I’ve featured a few times before, Nicholas K. channels dark and stormy with the Fall 07 collection.
