I’d been checking Fabrics Interseason‘s site for a couple months hoping to finally see their A/W 10 collection. Happily after checking in a couple days ago, the A/W 10 and S/S 11 collections are both up. Each season is a fluid evolution of the brand’s style – you know that layered voluminous avant-garde 80s look; their two most recent collections also hint at the 1920s and 1970s. They don’t stray much from a consistent colour theme either. Good stuff! Click through to see more
I know I’ve been doing quite a few re-posts lately, but it’s a new season and the old favourites are coming out with some exciting new things. And speaking of favourites, I revisted Fabrics Interseason after seeing a few new pieces at Project No. 8 and they’ve once again produced a collection that’s full of beautiful layering, texture, and volume. See some of the FI items Project No. 8 offers below. (Click the images enlarge)
The designers of ffixxed found Pour Porter through a google search for Fabrics Interseason, and correctly assumed I’d be interested in their pieces. I usually ignore marketing emails as they rarely line up with my personal taste, but this pair piqued my interest with their pieces and the fact that they’ve collaborated with Bless and have been featured alongside Fabrics Interseason and Slow and Steady Wins the Race.
The duo behind the label are Australians who have worked out of Hong Kong, Berlin, and New York and just released their second collection. While I wish their items were easier to browse (designers, it is possible to make an arty website that is well designed and easy to navigate!), they’ve plenty of interesting projects to peruse, and I’m excited to watch them develop. Thanks for the email! Remember to click the images to enlarge
Fabrics Interseason is one of those labels I’ve been aware of for several years but for some reason I’ve just never posted about them. The Austrian label is all about high minded conceptual explorations, but really this just means they make plenty of beautiful, smart clothing. FI has been around since 1998 but manages to fly under the radar and their older collections still have a fresh feel.
Layered boxy silhouettes characterize the label’s overall aesthetic. Honestly, I haven’t a clue as to why I’ve never really paid the label much attention because I love everything and find it all incredibly inspiring.
I’ve posted pictures from the S/S 09 collection but you should really visit their site to see more.

I stumbled across a gold mine of avant-garde designers at Barcelonian shop, Doshaburi. I spotted items from Marjan Pejoski, Cosmic Wonder Light Source, Poti Poti, BLESS, Fabrics Interseason, Pelican Avenue, Awareness&Consciousness, and Boessert Schorn, and the list goes on and on!
The selection is amazing and they ship worldwide. Prices are in euros, so if you’re here in North America you’ll have to do the conversion yourself. They’re currently having a 30% off sale so there are deals to be had.
Another quick reminder that Pour Porter now has a Twitter account so you can know instantly when a new post has been made. I will occasionally be doing smaller mini posts there as well.
Also in other exciting news, the new Pour Porter is soon to be launched!
