Remember when I posted about Dun Market, the delicious little webshop run by Jesse Bonny? Well, Jesse being the total sweetheart that she is, agreed to make a few necklaces for the Shop and I’m pretty much super excited to now be offering them. They’re 100% handmade from repurposed materials and gourds grown in Jesse’s own garden. They’re bold, incredibly unique pieces that reflect Bonny’s warm, organic style. Welcome Dun!

I am head-over-heels crazy in love with Australian designer, Sylvie Markovina’s jewelry. The A/W 09 collection I find most particularly attractive with its warm, earthy combination of oxidized brass, obsidian black, and tomato red. Each piece is so texturally interesting, and these are big chunky pieces-perfect for finishing off an outfit that needs a little kick. To get a sense of the scale, be sure to check out the latest collection to see the pieces on models.
While the latest collection isn’t yet available, the prices for her pieces from the previous collections are insanely reasonable (especially with the current exchange rate). Be sure to check out the Shop/Jewelry section to see prices and to order. This is one fall purchase I’m planning in advance!

Anyone who has followed this blog for awhile knows that there are a few designers and labels that I will post about multiple times. Nicholas K by brother/sister duo, Chris and Nicole Kunz, is one of them. I own a Nicholas K sweater coat that I adore and wear nonstop. Every season is consistent and every look book provides incredible layering inspiration. And of course, the clothes are just plain cool.
I’ve posted some looks from the S/S 09 collection. You can find a few pieces from every collection from various online retailers I’ve posted on here previously, but I wish they’d hurry up and launch the online shop already!
(Wow, I just realized that the most recent Nakkna and Nicholas K collections have identical colour schemes! I think I’m really feeling the rusted orange and pale blue right now.)
Because I’m wanting it to be summer very, very badly, I’m thinking a lot about accessories and clothing with texture and a warm, earthy feel. These belts fit that description perfectly. They can be worn as necklaces also.
