Back when I posted about Seelenkleid, not quite a year ago, I hadn’t started to tire of all-black clothing and was just beginning to appreciate an all-white palette. Fast forward not quite 12 months and the monochromatic white silhouette dominates Ella Haberlach’s latest with a sprinkling of midnight blue in the form of delicate devore velvet pieces (second piece below) and melted silicone. Lest you think all-white sounds immensely boring, just have a look at the collection. Haberlach plays with transparency, disintegration, softness and rigidity all to fascinating effect. So you all know by now that I’ve transferred my allegiance from all black ensembles to all white ensembles (well, along with more colour and pattern of course-ha), so imagine my enthusiasm when I recently visited Mono clothing’s website. I’ve been following Mono for a bit, but never posted because there just weren’t enough images available on the site for a full post. I’ve declared this my official ‘Week of White’. I’m determined to wear variations on white for the rest of the week. So far I’m on my second day but I was sorely tempted by black again this morning!
