Ssaw

February 25th, 2010

So I’ve posted about Prose, Swash, and Vilsbøl de Arce recently and was happy to find that Ssaw, based out of Stuttgart, Germany, carries these lines and more. They have a nice, limited assemblage of items so you won’t be overwhelmed by too many choices. And guys – O.M.G.they have the Prose dress I’m nuts about (see above and click to enlarge)! Unfortunately, I’m a little tied up buying inventory for the Pour Porter shop, so I’ll just have to admire it from afar. They will ship internationally, although at the moment their delivery terms are all in German. Prices are in euros, and you’ll have to forgive me for being too lazy to do the conversions for you today

Nomad Shop

January 14th, 2010

nomad

We’ve been neglecting the male readers, so today’s feature focuses on Toronto shop Nomad, which stocks plenty of labels like Acne, Nom de Guerre, Opening Ceremony, APC, Common Projects and many others. The shop is set up on a blog, so you search for available products from a ‘Category’ dropdown and I believe you have to call or email them to purchase, but they do list the prices of several of their items. It would be very nice if they expanded their online offerings and set up an actual shopping cart because they appear to have quite a nice selection!

Cut-and-Paste Wardrobe: If it Ain’t Broke

December 4th, 2009

neutralscombinedfinal
  • Pelican Avenue top: $485 here
  • Hussein Chalayan white cords: $413 here
  • Boy by Band of Outsiders trench: $1598 here
  • Delfina Delettrez lips necklace: $572 here
  • A.P.C. messenger bag: $380 here
  • Acne boots: $510 here

Alas, I’ve returned to my beloved neutrals, although there is a digital print thrown in courtesy the Pelican Avenue top. I’m mostly indifferent to the combat boots trend, but particularly like Acne’s flat version. I think I’d throw a chunky cream scarf over top all of this, too. Have a great weekend all!

Cut-and-Paste Wardrobe: Playful

November 20th, 2009

cutandpastewhimsicalfinal3

I tried hard this week to come up with something that took me a bit out of my comfort zone, something playful and a little less me. While I probably wouldn’t have guts to wear this all together at the same time, I love the individual pieces and I’d certainly wear navy heels with navy tights! I do feel it’s quite similar in colour palette to my previous C&P posts so I’ve failed on that front. Unfortunately/Fortunately, once you’ve established your style it’s quite the challenge to push yourself beyond that. So this week was an attempt at stepping outside my usual -scout’s honor.

  • Comme des Garcons tee: $111 here
  • Lutz&Patmos cardigan: $495 here
  • Moschino goose pin: $174 here
  • Niu pin: $75 here
  • Misstop navy blue tights: £3 here
  • Jil Sander pumps: $956 here
  • Moschino heart pin: $174 here
  • Acne skirt: Approximately $197.29 here
  • Vaness Bruno bag: $271 here

November 19th, 2009

Here’s good reason to celebrate: previously featured Gravity Pope now carry women and men’s clothing along with their exhaustive selection of footwear. All prices are in Canadian dollars, but I have no time to do the conversions so I haven’t listed any prices
