The first of our AW things have started to arrive and new label Atelier Delphine is kicking the season off with some amazing pieces. Yuka Izutsu started her label in 2011 with a focus on loungewear, but we’re not talking boring stuff you bum around the house in on Sundays. Her AW collection uses some beautiful Liberty of London fabrics and you can see my favourites above. The cuts are interesting and the print kicks it to the next level. We’re carrying the Mia trousers and Olympia coat and both are constructed of an extremely soft cotton fleece. Happy Monday everyone
Believe it or not some of our fall things are starting to arrive, which means all SS 13 things are on sale. Everything is 30-45% off with new reductions on other sale items. Hope everyone has a good week
Slowly but surely we’re expanding our Objects section offerings, and today we introduce the work of ceramicist and photographer Helen Levi. My personal favourites are the gold hand sculptures and the gilded planter (shown above). Levi makes every piece by hand so you’ll be getting something truly unique. Happy Monday!
There’re big changes on the horizon for me and Brannan. We’ve been throwing around the idea of selling the house and moving for a few years now. When I was in Chinle, Arizona a few weeks back for a weaving workshop, we finally made the decision that it was time. Time for us to focus on pulling up the proverbial tent stakes and going somewhere where we’ll have more freedom to pursue personal creative endeavors, expand our focus on the shop, and reduce and eliminate expenses that we feel no longer fit our desired way of life.
It’s going to be exciting and scary, but ultimately it’s something we feel we need to do now. The shop will be kept up and running and we’ve planned a big redesign that we hope to launch later this year. Life is short and it’s time to grow
