Very happy to announce that our A/W 2011 Lookbook is now live! And our model is none other than the super talented, up-and-coming artist Toyin Odutola who is currently finishing up her MFA at California College of the Arts.
We met back in the early 00s on Livejournal (snicker) and after a year or so of me badgering her, she was gracious enough to come visit us and be our model. We all had so much fun and she makes everything look amazing. Do check it out!
As per usual, we also have new arrivals this week – some fresh clothing and accessories from A’N’D and brand new A/W pieces from Correll Correll
I deal frequently with aerial photographs in a practical capacity and usually from the direct overhead perspective, but these oblique angle photos (1st image from the marvelous Hindsvik shop, 2nd from mosdurf, and 3rd from Jakob Wagner via Behance Network) makes it all fresh for me again.
Hooray #1 because I’m finally back home and I can drink the tap water again : D
Hooray #2 because we just did a MASSIVE shop update with new arrivals from Anntian, ffiXXed, and Upstate. PP basically has you covered for fall and winter with several new coats and jackets (ffiXXed and Anntian), ponchos (Upstate), and scarves (Upstate). Layer city ahoy, guys. Be sure to check all of the good out, and don’t forget we’ve still got quite a few items on sale in limited quantities. We’ll be marking down late summer/early fall things too in the coming weeks. Happy Monday!
I’ve been MIA thanks to the ol’ day job again. We’ve a two week straight survey trip in New Mexico so that means no new arrivals this week. However, I come bearing a few instagramed photos of some cool sights I get to see while I’m hammering away at the work. (Check out the bull’s head in the rock photo below.) The weather has been just ace – even a little too warm for surveying. I’ll be back in the groove hopefully by next Monday!
If you’re like us, you always have a need for wearable, versatile pieces – except they can’t be boring. This week we welcome two new designers who have found the key to this balance. Miss Alice is an Israeli label by Alice Dahan that never fails to nail the perfect slouchy drop crotch trouser, and perfect feather light cotton knit tee, shape changing bag, and well you get the idea!
Symmetry Goods by husband and wife team Ted Byrnes and Gena Tuso (two AMAZINGLY talented people who are super nice to boot) ably demonstrate that scarves can be not only immensely cool but they can do more than just wrap around your neck a couple times. We currently carry two styles (see the Hemingway above), but Symmetry made a Special Edition Lytton Scarf just for little ol’ Pour Porter. They let me pick out the plaid fabric! Definitely very excited about these two new labels – be sure to click over to scope the goods
