I’ll admit that I’m conflicted about the work of Tina Kalivas, for various reasons I don’t have the energy to expound upon, but (of course there’s a ‘but’ or I wouldn’t be posting, right?) let’s just say that I can definitely admire the construction, pattern, and colour of the designer’s latest collection.
With the exception of the top left dress, her colors and patterns seem very reminiscent of McQueen but on a more day to day wearable level. Would you agree?

Here’s a good link to an interview with Kalivas. She worked for McQueen in 98 and they obviously had similar visions.
That’s really interesting. It sounds like he was a nightmare to work for! Well, you have to be slightly off-balance to be a visionary. Thank-you for sharing these images and that info on Kalivas.
