I almost forgot to post this today! Anyways, here are some current favourites from Azita in the colours I’ve been obsessing over. The sweatshirt is just too marvelously hilarious. (And I wish I could slap the trousers and sweatshirt on right now) They ship overseas and prices are listed in euros, great britian pounds, and us dollars
American sportswear is so ubiquitous in the States that it’s hard to separate the vanilla connotations from the clothing, let alone make it appealing or progressive. In the case of NYC based Johanna Bloomfield, she deftly avoids the pitfalls with her Johannes Faktotum menswear line. Her pieces have a much-needed sophisticated appeal. A/W 2010 channels varsity jackets, preppy school sweaters, and football gear. I’ve posted looks from all three of her collections, but be sure to click over to see more (and click photo above to enlarge)
Some of you will have seen this if you follow Pour Porter on twitter, but for those of you who don’t, welcome to the Pour Porter shop‘s front/index page. I’ve hidden the designer names because I want it to be a surprise at launch, but you can obviously see one of them! We also have a new logo and following launch you’ll see quite a few changes to the blog too.
We’re closing in rapidly on launch date, which we anticipate in the next 2-3 weeks. This means, of course, that blog posts will be a bit spotty as we’ve got a lot to wrap up and test beforehand and I’ll have less time than usual to post, plus I’ve already started placing my fall orders. Crazy, but exciting! Happy Monday everyone!
If you’re familiar with Salvor Projects you’re probably mostly thinking about their wallets and accessories, because that seems to be mostly what’s available from the brand in online boutiques. I was delighted to discover that Salvor offers much more than cool wallets and bags with unusual geometric prints. I’ve only posted a few items from various collections (click image below to enlarge) so be sure to click over to see more
