I have to first admit that I’m really tired of the whole shredded everything trend; however, it is (almost) Halloween so I’m making an exception with the dress. So here you are readers: a Pour Porter ‘sophisticated’ cut-and-paste Halloween. Ha, you know, because not everyone wants to be the ‘oh so sexy fill in the blank’. Have a good one guys! Brannan and I decided last minute to don some costumes. If they turn out well, I’ll post pictures next week

I have creaturecast to thank for posting about these dreamy, intricate pencil drawings by Erwin Keustermans. Ah, to have the patience to create patterns that rival those of the natural world! Be sure to click the thumbnails below to view them larger and visit Keustermans’ flickr to see other works

Dress: $1710;   Booties: $730;   Coat: $1315

Like parent company yoox.com, the corner, stocks an impressive selection of high end designers like Hussein Chalayan, Marni, A.F. Vandevorst, Damir Doma, Viktor&Rolf, and Martin Margiela. Where yoox sells past season items at discount prices, the corner sells current season pieces unfortunately at designer prices, and I suspect this site is pretty new since I couldn’t find any sale items, but they ship worldwide and you just have to change the delivery country to see the correct currency

A few new tops. I’ve been trying to wear more print (see middle and right), but I still like monochromatic with a twist. While it’s hard to see (click to enlarge), the white shirt has a quilt star in the center. Now Brannan with his all white correllcorrell colour wheel top and I can match-ha ha

Ssense

dress: $195.00,   jacket: $210,   shoes: $360

Ssense was one of those online boutiques that I browsed on the rare occasion, but was never very interested in due to cheesy models, cheesy styling, and a meh selection of labels. Fast forward to a few months ago and now I’m definitely going to become more of a frequent visitor! The owners got smart and ditched the corny SoCal models and styling, and most of the Hollywood starlet labels and focused instead on the demographic who likes a side of intelligence with their style. You can now find cerebral, arty favourites like Obesity and Speed, MM6 Maison Martin Margiela, Rogan, Tsumori Chisato, and Wayne. (You can click on both images to enlarge)
