I randomly discovered Martin Grant the other day on style.com, and was a bit surprised I’d never heard of the designer. I don’t usually use style.com as a resource since most of the collections featured are pretty well known.
His obscurity is probably due in part to the unflashiness of his aesthetic. According to the ‘about’ section of the site, Grant has intentionally maintained a low profile through his 17 year career. To me, it’s perfection. I’m particularly taken with the A/W 09-10 collection. The pieces are simple and clean and timeless-all worth investing in. And can I just state that the model for the most recent collection is stunning.
Only have time to dump a daily wear on here right now!
I’ve declared this my official ‘Week of White’. I’m determined to wear variations on white for the rest of the week. So far I’m on my second day but I was sorely tempted by black again this morning!
- la redoute wool boyfriend cardigan
- hanes and clu tanks
- cheap Monday jeans
- cotton scarf-gift
- in god we trust brass necklace
- gold dome ring-originally my mothers in the 70s and something I’ve worn since the 7th grade!
- loeffler randall shoes

I like Revolve. They have a massive selection, they ship amazingly fast, and they recently launched a new website that carries independent and progressive designer lines. Why hello, Forward by Revolve.
I’m sure a lot of you are aware of this, but just in case some of you have been living under a rock for the past few months (ha ha kidding!):
The nude/tan/bone/beige shoe collection, as it currently stands. I forgot about the Delman oxfords…
Anyone else find themselves gravitating to bone/nude/tan/beige items lately? I bought a cute pair of nude corso como pumps a few years back and a pair of flat toast tan ankle wrap nana sandals and of course, recently the nude Rachel Comey clog sandals. I am feeling the white this spring/summer and pairing white with beigey tones just feels so perfect.
I am excitedly awaiting a new pair of cheap Mondays in white. I received them last week, but the sizing for this particular style is much smaller than the sizing for my ubiquitous black ones. So back they went and a new, hopefully better fitting pair is on its way.
I want some white linen I can tea dye to make summery scarves, too!
