Found another little gem of a NY boutique. Cry Wolf stocks loads of small unknowns, and have an equally good selection of men’s (see sneakers) and women’s clothing. Everything on the site appears to be on sale right now, as well.

Right: Raincoat $229

Right: Men’s Sneakers $189
I had the day off yesterday, hence no post. I decided to spend the day watching the inauguration and sewing up things like a dog bed and a ‘curtain’ to cover their ugly crate area.
Anyways, since attempting to get the dear husband to post here on occasion is like pulling teeth, I’ve decided to make a post for the male reader today.
NY boutique Odin is geared toward the sophisticated guy who favours lesser known but quality designers. Odin’s webstore carries lines like Richard Chai, Common Projects, Entermodal, Nepenthes, and Band of Outsiders and features interviews with some of the designers.

Right: Sweater $229, Buttondown $249, Denim $199

Right: Sneakers $310
I saw this this morning on the Sartorialist and it was love at first sight.
I seriously <3 mustard, and this coat coupled with the tan striped tights is just perfection. Jcrew has been doing mustard for several seasons now, so I always try to snag something from them every year. Not to mention the tasty mix of textures, too. I’d ditch the red bag, but otherwise I wouldn’t change a thing.
And where can I find black and tan striped tights? Amazing.
I think I’ve featured Vancouver’s Hunt & Gather previously, but I can’t remember! If I have, it’s worth posting again.
I obviously found myself attracted to the structural, organic aesthetic of the line and the natural fabrics. A few items are sold online, but I’m unsure if they ship to the States, as the site is a bit frustrating to navigate. Regardless, it at least provides me with some eye candy.

In other news, the husband is hard at work on the site redesign, and I’m very excited. It’s going to be a completely fresh look, and very different from what you see now. So, three cheers for change!
The lovely Little Thoughts, whose blog celebrated one year yesterday, reminded me that Pour Porter also celebrated its one year anniversary of having its own space on the web on Christmas! Of course, it’s been around since 2005 on livejournal, but I think it warrants a mention.
I received an email from emerging designer Yegang Yoo back in September, but haven’t gotten around to posting a link to her collections until now.
Based in Brooklyn, the designer has worked for both Hussein Chalayan and Jens Laugesen. It shows in her sculptural silhouettes. The line is defined by the deft use of texture, subtle color, and refined prints.
Featured are pieces from the S/S 09 collection. Be sure to click the link to see her debut F/W 08-09 collection.
