I dunno, I’m stalking an insect on the floor? Silly photo, I know. Ha.
Today was all below zero temperatures, but underneath the coat was a t-shirt under a wool cardigan, comfy denim, boots, oh and my blood drop pin too, of course.
If having the opportunity to access the best in independent and avant-garde fashion from boutiques across the world without having to invest in a plane ticket sounds appealing, then Far Fetch is the place to go.
Far fetch picks items from 20 different boutiques in Paris, Copenhagen, London, and Florence and makes it easy to purchase them no matter where in the world you are located. They have a pretty amazing selection and the ability to shop in US dollars, Euros, or British pounds, so no messy conversion needed. They also offer plenty of pieces at varying price points which they categorize under Luxe (most expensive), Lab (moderate), and Cult (least expensive). And the site is incredibly easy to navigate, which is a big plus in my book!

Received my blood drop pin from ooga booga today. It came all handwrapped with lots of cute little silly sketches on the envelope.

One more for scale after the jump
Nieves is a Swiss independent publishing house that specializes in artist books and zines.
I was impressed with the quality of the titles and zines offered, and added a few to my Christmas wish list, although I’ll probably snap up a few of my favourites myself.
The prices are all in U.S. dollars, and shipping from Switzerland is only $9.

During my search on Monday for shops that carried Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair, I stumbled across Portland boutique, Stand Up Comedy. While their site design is a touch clunky, it’s worth the minor frustration you have to endure to browse. They have a great little selection of every art hipster’s favourite indies, and they don’t just carry clothing. There is also an interesting assortment of books, accessories, and other objects to choose from, as well.
